Girl 03:20
Girl, do you remember? That day in September. We said forever, when we walked along the streets together. Girl, why are you changing? Love rearranging. Your heart is exchanging, all we had now you’re forsaking. Girl, live without; live in doubt, ‘cause you know you can’t sure. Live in doubt, live without, ‘cause you know you can’t be. Girl, remember the great lakes? Red velvet cup cakes. Seventies remakes, is it all to simply end in heart aches? Girl, what are you hiding? I know you’ve been lying. You stopped confiding, I fear our love is slowly dying. Girl, live without; live in doubt, ‘cause you know you can’t sure. Live in doubt, live without, ‘cause you know you can’t be. Girl you’ve been wasting all my time! It’s been playing on my mind, but you’ve been acting fine! Girl, I’m gonna put your love aside, ‘cause I’d rather say goodbye, than settle for your lies! Girl, live without; live in doubt, ‘cause you know you can’t sure. Live in doubt, live without, ‘cause you know you can’t be.

Saw you standing up against the glass, looking out on the world, as it lumbered past. You were leaving all your bags were packed. As you drew in a breath, I saw your shoulders roll back. Your fragile heart, is living and dying, in between the choice of crawling or flying and I’m not the one to let this go on. We laugh , we cry, we live, we die. We’re the same you and I, we’re the chosen. For this moment in time, we’re St Elmo’s fire. You can’t deny, we’re the chosen. As you walked down winter streets alone, the smell of cheap perfume, from your abandoned room. At your bedside in the years gone bye, we spoke so passionately, like a sonnet of dreams.

Michelangelo 03:51
In the morning light creeps in the blinds, wanders over space and time. Wakes my soul beside & tells me that I’m able. In the evening looking to the light, but it passes with the night. In between I sit and wonder if I’m able. So do I comfortably succumb? Soul and spirit - deaf and dumb. Until numb I do become? In the room the children come and go, they sing of Michelangelo. They harmonize a sixth below. So do I publicly profess? Like a child I must express. What my lips daily confess. Water sprinkled on my face. Takes away all my disgrace. Washes over me and tells me that I’m able. Like some dirty urban creek, water flowing down the street. In the dark beside, I wonder if I’m able. So do I comfortably succumb? Soul and spirit - deaf and dumb. Until numb I do become? In the room the children come and go, they sing of Michelangelo. They harmonize a sixth below. So do I publicly profess? Like a child I must express. What my lips daily confess.

Carousel 04:29
Always looking over your shoulder now that you’re older there’s no one to run from. All the time the people you’re passing are over committing or at least that’s what you think they’re doing. Carousel turning, your conscience is burning. Got to get up to make a start cause there’s no more hiding in the dark, the time has come to find out who you are. Don’t you get tired of believing you’re searching when the look in your eye says you’re to scared to try. The answer is waiting but you’re too busy running to see that someone, someone is searching for you. Not believing grace cause it scares you. You want the real proof. Show me a sign now. Receiving all the glory on Sundays. Monday to Friday: you scarcely would remember to pray.

Money to burn and hours to waste you’re a free man. Like a butterfly takes off to the sky with new wings. They’ve planted a seed where wants turn to needs and a blanket. Of lies and deceit as you fly down the street takes your soul in. Bright neon signs and reality bites leave you feeling. For a second this path is more real than the last ever promised. The thrill of the chase as you wait for the doors to come open. And hands filled with hope pack their shopping carts high with salvation. And in this town the blind are leading the blind and this time could be the last time. Oh! Look what you’ve done. Turned every truth into a lie. We’re victims of desire for our own redemption. Ooo! When is enough? Burned every bridge to no return but still we journey on with blind ambition. She catches your eye with the pull of a dangerous moment and morality catches a plane to the coast like you’d planned it. You bow at her feet as if she could resolve your condition. But no one on earth has the power to say you’re forgiven. And in this town the blind are leading the blind and this time could be the last time. Oh! Look what you’ve done. Turned every truth into a lie. We’re victims of desire for our own redemption. Ooo! When is enough? Burned every bridge to no return but still we journey on with blind ambition.

Eleven Fifteen; her story starts here. She took what was hers, a heart without fear. She left me for dead, in search of herself. It never would be like before. Her innocence left at the door. Beer, wine and women taste sweet on the lips. Men left in her trail by the sway of her hips. By God - she was reckless, left nothing undone. She spent all she had on her fun. She spent herself till she had none She worked and she wandered, saw the world, took it in. And she drank and she squandered, made friend after friend. But when it was over she’d end up alone; I miss you I want you to know. Girl why won’t you pick up the phone? She came to an end. She came to herself. She knew she had nothing. Not money or health. She knew there was more. Her heart was bereft. She set her face homeward to see composing her apology. Well I saw her far off coming my way and I ran to embrace her, to wipe tears away. All your apologies: time later for that. My heart only knows that your back - what was lost found its way back. He hit 25, an ethical life, threw everything at it, to keep it alive. The smug connoisseur aware of their plight. He always just knew he was right. He rightfully knew he was right. To offset the footprint he took to the streets. Two wheels is better - atone for our heat. He always stood upright but never contrite. He knew he was ever so smart. Broad minded but narrow at heart. He worked and he toiled, had the world at his feet and he joined every protest, he took to the streets. But when it was over he’d end up alone; no real connection was made, he always fell short of the grade. When she came home he heard right away. Incensed at injustice! He thought she would pay… His ethics and righteousness second to none. But he wouldn’t join in the fun, bitterness showed him undone. Well I saw her far off coming my way and I ran to embrace her, to wipe tears away. Don’t you realize mine’s yours and all that but we have to welcome her back. She’s home now, let’s welcome her back. It makes no good sense. It’s foolish – absurd! And it’s madness divine to take you at your word. She gave up herself and finally found, her feet were upon holy ground. Give up yourself to be found. I saw her far off. Coming my way and I ran to embrace her, to wipe tears away. Maybe you’re in it, you’re someone like that. You need to welcome her back.. ‘cause I want to welcome you back.

Mark Ten 05:15
Give me a verse I will remember. From my youth I have observed. Got the preachers information. Acted on the things I heard. Packed the chairs up after your time. Prayed my wisdom would impress, and every impotent suggestion, heightens influences long repressed. My fear, I will be forgotten, but you, say we are remembered for the things we give and time, tell me I’m affected, by your open arms. You cannot give enough child, but by giving up it all, you understand the satisfaction often missed by those not poor. This consumer expectation, cloaks the negligence of thought. Is it up to my perspective? Can my ignorance earn your freedom? My fear, I will be forgotten, but you, say we are remembered for the things we give and time, tell me I’m affected, by your open arms.

You Say You 03:21
In this life I look for you. I sometimes wonder where you’re leading to. Help me, help me to see… You say you are always there, in everything I’m going through. In everything you’ve called me to, you say you will see me through. Hopes and dreams are lost to doubt. Fire of passion, fear stamps out. Help me, help me to see… You say you are always there, in everything I’m going through. In everything you’ve called me to, you say you will see me through.

Drifting 03:51
Keeping up the fear is getting harder, ‘cause the safety net is making me stay. Scales are weighing all our sons and daughters. But I never let the truth get in my way. I’d be satisfied living out my days with a high rise to my name but the interest just don’t pay. I see my life just drifting away. I’m a man within moments it’s a crime that I waste. I see my life just drifting away. Keeping up the fear is getting harder, ‘cause the flesh and bone just won’t go away. Time - she’s staring at me like a joker, as I watch her disappear without a trace. I’d be satisfied living out my days with a high rise to my name but the interest just don’t pay. I see my life just drifting away. I’m a man within moments it’s a crime that I waste. I see my life just drifting away. It’s those easy days they’ve been my only take. Now those happy days have come along to try and break my back. You know that I’m only a man, and there’s only so much a man can take… I see my life just drifting away.

Kiera's Song 04:15
Where you are now, there is no pain. And where you are now, you’ll never cry again. You will never be lonely, you will never feel pain. Every tear you’ve cried will be wiped away. And when we stand there in glory he’ll remember your name. And when I see you, I feel your pain. When I hold you, I can’t let go again. You will never be lonely, you will never feel pain. Every tear you’ve cried will be wiped away. And when we stand there in glory he’ll remember your name. We heard you say, place her in my arms. Let her come to me, I will take her home. And so we said, we give her back to you. Take her from our arms, take her home with you.
